Job summary

Ørsted A/S is seeking an IFRS accounting lead to guide complex M&A transactions across Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific. You will shape transaction structures and translate accounting analyses into clear insights for investment decisions.

You’ll collaborate with Partnerships and M&A teams, external advisers, auditors, and a broad network of finance professionals to ensure high-quality accounting outcomes and robust technical memos.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated IFRS expertise in complex accounting contexts.
• Experience advising on IFRS implications of M&A transactions.
• Ability to translate complex accounting issues into practical recommendations for management.

Responsibilities

• Act as the IFRS accounting lead on acquisitions, divestments, farm-downs, joint ventures, structured financing arrangements, and strategic partnerships.
• Assess accounting implications early in the transaction process and advise on proposed deal structures.
• Prepare clear IFRS accounting assessments and technical memos to support commercial decisions.
• Review draft contracts, term sheets, and other transaction documents from an accounting perspective.
• Participate in meetings with investors, external advisers, auditors, and internal stakeholders on transaction-related accounting matters.
• Support wider Group Finance activities including financial reporting, accounting policy development, and strategic accounting projects.
