Job summary

Ørsted is seeking an IFRS accounting lead for complex M&A transactions, including acquisitions and joint ventures. You will translate accounting implications into clear recommendations for management and commercial teams.

You will collaborate with Partnerships & M&A, external advisers, and auditors to ensure high-quality accounting decisions and robust reporting across Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific.

Qualifications

• Deep IFRS expertise gained through technical accounting or IFRS advisory.
• Experience advising on IFRS implications of M&A transactions.
• Ability to translate complex accounting matters for management and non-accountants.
• Strong communication across finance, M&A, auditors, and external advisers.
• Master’s degree in accounting, auditing, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Act as the IFRS accounting lead on acquisitions, divestments, farm-downs, joint ventures, and partnerships.
• Assess accounting implications early in the transaction process and advise on structures.
• Prepare clear IFRS accounting assessments and memos for business decisions.
• Review draft contracts and term sheets from an accounting perspective.
• Participate in meetings with investors, advisers, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to wider Group Finance activities, including policy development.
