Job summary

Orsted is seeking an accounting lead to drive IFRS analyses for acquisitions, divestments, farm-downs, JVs and partnerships across Europe, with a specialized team supporting complex transactions.

You will translate accounting implications into clear recommendations for management, collaborate with the Partnerships and M&A teams, external advisers and auditors, and contribute to Group Finance policies and reporting.

Qualifications

• Deep IFRS expertise from technical accounting or IFRS advisory.
• Experience advising on IFRS implications of M&A transactions.
• Ability to translate complex accounting matters into practical conclusions.
• Strong communication across finance, M&A, auditors and external advisers.
• Analytical, ownership mindset with adaptability to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the IFRS accounting lead on acquisitions, divestments, and joint ventures.
• Assess accounting implications early and advise on deal structures.
• Prepare clear IFRS assessments and memos for decisions.
• Review draft contracts and term sheets from an accounting perspective.
• Participate in meetings with investors, advisers, auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to Group Finance activities, including financial reporting and policy development.
