Job summary

GEA Process Engineering seeks a Technical Writer to own technical documentation across our product portfolio, driving standardization, quality, and continuous improvement.

You will work closely with engineers, project managers, product owners and SMEs to ensure documentation meets customer needs, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, including operation manuals and translated content across diverse products and disciplines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical writing or end-user manuals.
• Solid understanding of relevant standards, regulations, directives, and compliance.
• Excellent written English and communication skills.
• Structured, detail-oriented, and methodical work style.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders.
• Experience with documentation management or CMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and validate technical documentation (operation manuals, customer instructions) per standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, product owners, and stakeholders throughout the documentation lifecycle.
• Plan, coordinate, and follow up on documentation activities to support deliverables.
• Coordinate translation with external partners.
• Drive continuous improvement of documentation processes, tools, templates, standards.
• Help define new procedures and ways of working for technical documentation.
