Job summary

GEA Group in Søborg, Denmark is seeking an Automation Engineer to join the Automation Execution team. You will lead and execute automation projects from design to commissioning, collaborating with global engineers and stakeholders to deliver integrated automation packages for pharma processing.

You bring a degree in Automation, Instrumentation & Control or Electrical Engineering, hands-on experience with industrial automation systems, and knowledge of ISA/IEC safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Automation, Instrumentation & Control, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with industrial automation systems and electrical engineering principles.
• Knowledge of ISA-88, ISA-101, IEC 62443, ATEX and other safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Define and review automation scopes during project execution.
• Participate in customer meetings and align automation requirements.
• Review P&IDs, equipment lists, and process documentation.
• Develop network and control system architecture.
• Prepare functional design specifications, alarm and interlock lists.
• Detailed specification of process instruments.
• Develop and test automation software (Siemens PLC and InTouch & WinCC HMI/SCADA).
• Review electrical designs and support panel FATs.
• Execute software FAT, commissioning, start-up, and site acceptance.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation.
