Job summary

Arla Foods Ingredients is seeking an Inventory Specialist in Global Planning, based in Aarhus, to establish and drive AFI's global inventory capability.

You will lead the implementation of a new inventory framework, governance of safety stock, and centralize inventory discussions across planning teams to improve decision-making.

This role offers cross-functional collaboration and accountability for inventory performance, service levels, and working capital optimizations.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory management, planning or related disciplines.
• Understanding of inventory optimization and safety stock.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into insights.
• Experience with ERP and planning systems (SAP/SAP IBP).
• Advanced Excel and reporting/analytics tooling.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive the implementation and ongoing development of AFI's inventory management framework across warehouses and product portfolios.
• Take ownership of inventory policies, safety stock methodologies, and governance processes.
• Monitor and analyze inventory performance, deviations, risks and opportunities to support proactive decision-making and improvements.
• Lead inventory topics in S&OP and S&OE processes and ensure implications are reflected in planning decisions.
• Collaborate with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Operations, Finance and Commercial teams to balance service levels and working capital.
