Job summary

Arla Foods Ingredients is seeking an Inventory Specialist in Global Planning to establish and drive our inventory capability across the global supply chain. You will implement a new inventory framework, including safety stock methodologies and governance across the warehouse network, while owning inventory performance and being the central contact for inventory topics.

You will collaborate with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams to balance service levels,

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory management and related disciplines.
• Understanding of inventory optimization, including safety stock.
• Strong analytical skills to translate data into insights.
• Experience with ERP and planning systems (SAP/SAP IBP preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with reporting tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Drive implementation and development of AFI's inventory framework across warehouses and product portfolios.
• Own inventory policies, safety stock methodologies, and governance processes.
• Monitor and analyze inventory performance, deviations, risks and opportunities to support proactive decision-making.
• Lead inventory in S&OP and S&OE processes, translating implications into planning decisions.
• Collaborate with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams to balance service levels and working capital targets.
• Drive continuous improvements of inventory processes, systems, and ways of working.
• Develop and maintain inventory KPIs, reporting and business insights.
