Job summary

SYBO, based in Copenhagen, is seeking a Game Engineer for the Tech Pod to build and sustain Subway Surfers’ systems, integrations, and core tech. You will own technical decisions, collaborate across disciplines, and help enhance gameplay stability and performance.

You will join a team that values quality code, efficient processes, and ongoing learning, with opportunities to influence architecture and pipeline improvements while delivering features to hundreds of millions of players.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C# with strong OOP knowledge.
• Experience with Unity for mobile game development.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and patterns.
• Experience writing native iOS/Android code.
• Familiar with Git or similar version control.
• Experience delivering in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain game systems and SDK integrations using Unity, C#, and native code.
• Collaborate with engineers to move technical solutions from concept to release.
• Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to codebase health.
• Review code and share knowledge to maintain quality.
• Debug across Unity, native platforms, backend integrations, and live services.
• Integrate Subway Surfers with SYBO platform and backend services.
• Maintain third-party SDKs and services on iOS and Android.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, tools, and development workflows (Jenkins included).
