Job summary

SYBO in Copenhagen, the mobile studio behind Subway Surfers, is looking for a Game Engineer to join the team responsible for live operations and feature development on a global hit. You will work with designers, artists, and engineers to implement gameplay systems in Unity using C#, taking concepts through to release, and maintaining high-quality code.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of OOP languages, primarily C#.
• Professional experience developing games, ideally on mobile.
• Solid hands-on experience with Unity.
• Good understanding of software engineering principles, data structures and patterns.
• Experience collaborating across disciplines to deliver features.
• Experience with Git and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain gameplay features for Subway Surfers using Unity and C#.
• Collaborate with Designers, Artists, and Engineers to take features from concept through implementation and release.
• Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to long-term health of the codebase.
• Review code and collaborate to share knowledge and maintain engineering quality.
• Debug and resolve issues across gameplay systems and live features.
• Contribute to improving tools, workflows, and development practices.
