Job summary

DANFOSS A/S in Silkeborg is seeking an Environmental Process Specialist to own the site’s environmental performance, focusing on the nickel‑plating line and wastewater treatment. You will translate environmental goals into measurable improvements through data analysis, chemical insights, and close collaboration with Production Technology, QEHS, and Operations.

You will ensure compliance with permits and legislation, drive continuous improvement, reduce emissions and waste, and support audits.

Qualifications

Background in chemical engineering, process engineering, or environmental science with focus on process optimization.
Ability to combine data analysis with hands‑on implementation and structured documentation.
Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
Strong collaboration and project management skills with a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

Own and optimize the nickel‑plating process to ensure reliable, safe, and high‑quality production.
Improve production processes across the site to reduce energy use, emissions, hazardous chemicals, and waste.
Ensure regulatory compliance by maintaining permits, documentation, and readiness for audits and authorities.
Analyze environmental data to track performance and identify opportunities for footprint reduction.
Collaborate with QEHS and operations to strengthen environmental and safety performance.
