Novo Nordisk A/S seeks a Principal Data Platform Engineer to set the technical direction for the Novo Nordisk DataCore Platform, the enterprise data and analytics platform built on Databricks. You will shape engineering standards, guide architecture and strengthen how scalable, secure and compliant platform capabilities are built.

Your work enables critical business and scientific use cases across the organisation.

Qualifications

Master's degree in a technical field.
Extensive enterprise platform engineering and cloud infrastructure experience.
Proven expertise with Terraform, AWS, Azure, Databricks, CI/CD and DevOps.
Strong IaC and platform automation understanding.
Experience in highly regulated environments (pharma/healthcare/finance).
Understanding governance, security, compliance and operational excellence.
Experience with Data Mesh concepts and enterprise-scale data platforms.
Track record mentoring senior engineers and guiding technical direction.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Act as technical authority for platform engineering and cloud infra within DataCore Platform.
Drive leadership and strategy for platform engineering.
Define and implement engineering standards, reusable patterns and IaC.
Lead architecture decisions across AWS, Azure, Terraform and Databricks.
Support Data Mesh aligned platform capabilities.
Mentor senior engineers and raise engineering excellence.
Influence platform evolution with global stakeholders while ensuring quality compliance.
