Job summary

ROCKWOOL Group in Hedehusene, Denmark, is seeking a Senior Contract Manager for large CAPEX projects to secure successful delivery and commercial outcomes.

You will draft post-award documents, handle disputes, assess supplier performance, and collaborate with Project Managers to meet contractual terms.

Travel to project sites may be required; you’ll join a seasoned Project Support team reporting to the Head of Project Support.

Qualifications

  • Experienced contract manager with responsibility for large-scale projects in construction/renewable energy.
  • Strong technical contract management expertise and stakeholder management.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented with risk management and commercial decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Contract & Commercial Management — Draft post-award documents including Variation Orders, Claims, and notifications; manage insurance claims, bonds, and guarantees
  • Performance & Risk Management — Evaluate supplier performance against contractual obligations, conduct comprehensive risk assessments, and develop mitigation plans
  • Dispute Resolution — Handle contractual disputes and claims strategically, escalating as needed and consulting with Sourcing teams on supplier relationship impacts
  • Project Collaboration — Support Project Managers and Directors in ensuring deliverables meet contractual terms; facilitate monthly contract management meetings for large projects
  • Contract Closure & Learning — Manage contract closure processes, archive documentation, and conduct post-contract evaluations to capture lessons learned

Your future team

You’ll join the Project Support team, a group of experienced professionals dedicated to securing successful project implementation. You’ll report to the Head of Project Support in your line organization and to the Project Director on individual projects.

What You’ll Do
  • Contract & Commercial Management — Draft post-award documents including Variation Orders, Claims, and notifications; manage insurance claims, bonds, and guarantees
  • Performance & Risk Management — Evaluate supplier performance against contractual obligations, conduct comprehensive risk assessments, and develop mitigation plans
  • Dispute Resolution — Handle contractual disputes and claims strategically, escalating as needed and consulting with Sourcing teams on supplier relationship impacts
  • Project Collaboration — Support Project Managers and Directors in ensuring deliverables meet contractual terms; facilitate monthly contract management meetings for large projects

Who You Are
  • Experienced Contract Manager or with legal responsibility for large-scale projects within Construction, Renewable Energy, or similar industries. Experience managing complex greenfield projects from early development through execution is highly valued.
  • Strong technical expertise in contract management with excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical & Detail-Oriented — Solid experience in risk management, issue resolution, and commercial decision-making with a focus on protecting ROCKWOOL's interests.
  • Strategic Dispute Handler — Excel at contractual dispute handling with strong negotiation skills that balance assertive advocacy with collaborative relationships.
  • Proactive & Commercially Minded — Anticipate contractual and project risks, identify improvement opportunities, and drive timely issue resolution before escalation.
  • Strong Communicator — Navigate complex contractual situations with clarity, confidence, and professionalism; understand that effective contract management enables successful project delivery.
  • Engaged Team Player — Take ownership, work independently, and actively engage with project teams and stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
  • Experience with FIDIC contract management is preferred.
What We Offer

You’ll become part of a highly competent team managing large and complex international projects. This position offers significant responsibility combined with a high degree of independence and decision-making authority. You'll work on strategically important contracts that span multiple markets and involve diverse stakeholder relationships.

  • 20-40 days of travel to project sites may be required depending on project needs.
