Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Technology Specialist – Carbon Capture Technology to support development and deployment of next-generation carbon capture solutions. The role spans technology development, engineering studies and project execution, driving concepts through to commercial implementation.

The site role focuses on carbon capture processes, heat integration and CO2 handling, contributing to pilot plant activities and product development with strong collaboration across teams and partners.

Qualifications

MSc or PhD in Chemical/Process/Mechanical engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of industry experience in process engineering or technology development.
Experience with carbon capture processes, heat integration and CO2 handling.
Experience with process simulations (Aspen HYSYS/Aspen Plus) preferred.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with多-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Perform conceptual evaluations and technical assessments for carbon capture, heat integration and CO2 handling systems.
Develop and maintain process engineering deliverables (PFDs, heat/mass balances, datasheets).
Ensure quality and consistency of technical specifications across studies and projects.
Support pilot plant operations, commissioning and start-up activities from a process perspective.
Collaborate with project teams, technology partners, suppliers and customers throughout execution.
Contribute to R&D and innovation programmes in carbon capture technologies.
Identify opportunities for technology improvements and potential IP development.
