Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Senior Specialist Engineer – Carbon Capture Technology to lead development of carbon capture and CO2 conditioning solutions, influencing strategy and delivering projects globally.

You will mentor engineers, work with cross-functional teams, and identify IP opportunities, translating research into industrial applications while engaging customers and partners.

Qualifications

• MSc, PhD or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years' relevant industry experience.
• Strong expertise in carbon capture technologies, particularly amine-based post-combustion capture and/or gas treatment, CO₂ compression, liquefaction and handling.
• Experience leading R&D or innovation programmes.
• Translating research into commercial or industrial applications.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced specialist to drive technology development, influence strategic innovation programmes, and support the delivery of cutting-edge carbon capture projects globally.

The Role

As a recognised subject matter expert, you will lead the development of carbon capture and CO₂ conditioning technologies, supporting both product development and project execution. Working closely with technical, commercial and project teams, you will help define technology strategy, lead research and innovation initiatives, and provide expert guidance across the organisation
