Job summary

Qualifications

  • Relevant educational background e.g. laboratory technician or equivalent technical experience.
  • You enjoy practical hands-on work and are willing to learn new techniques.
  • Willingness to learn high-pressure systems and gas handling.
  • Willingness to work with Swagelok fittings, tubing, and instrumentation.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting laboratory equipment and experimental setups.
  • Able to work independently and also collaborate with researchers, students, and colleagues.
  • Strong focus on laboratory safety and good laboratory practices.
  • Good written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory measurements and sample analysis.
  • Prepare, assemble, and maintain experimental setups.
  • Assist researchers and students with laboratory experiments and operation of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and experimental systems.
  • Maintain laboratory facilities and ensure a safe, organized, efficient environment.
  • Contribute to development and improvement of experimental methods and procedures.
  • Participate in safety activities and promote good laboratory practices.
  • Assist with procurement, gas handling, and chemical waste management.
  • Support experimental courses.
