Job summary

Pleo’s Intelligence function spans product behavior, GTM performance, and financial reporting. The Analytics Engineers build the data modelling foundations, migrating to a new Analytics Warehouse and Omni, moving from legacy tools.

You’ll own tracking, experimentation, and semantic layer definitions to ensure trustworthy, self-serve analytics across product and finance functions. You’ll collaborate with Product Managers, Analysts, and Engineering to ship durable data models, apply AI-assisted

Qualifications

• Solid SQL and dbt experience with end-to-end model ownership.
• Working knowledge of event-based tracking tools like Segment or Amplitude.
• Experience with Git-based development workflows, including PRs.
• Clear communication to explain data definitions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Genuine day-to-day use of AI tooling in coding/workflow.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and untangling legacy logic to build modern foundations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dbt models in the Analytics Warehouse.
• Own tracking plan implementation and QA in Segment and Amplitude.
• Support experimentation by modelling assignment/outcome data for analysts/PMs.
• Define and document metrics in the semantic layer for consistent definitions.
• Apply AI-augmented data modelling as standard practice in coding/reviews/migrations.
• Partner with Product Managers/Analysts to turn questions into reusable data models.
• Maintain data quality with dbt tests, freshness SLAs, and proactive monitoring.
