Job summary

Pleo is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join the Product Intelligence team. You will build and migrate dbt models in the new Analytics Warehouse, define the semantic layer, and own tracking/QA in Segment and Amplitude.

You’ll partner with Product Managers, Analysts, and Engineers to ship scalable data foundations that power product decisions and AI tools. We value pragmatic engineers who can navigate legacy systems, write clean code, and communicate data definitions clearly.

Qualifications

• Solid SQL and dbt experience, end-to-end model ownership.
• Experience with event-based tracking tools like Segment or Amplitude.
• Git-based development workflows and PR reviews.
• Clear communication to explain data definitions to stakeholders.
• Genuine day-to-day use of AI tooling in coding/workflow.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dbt models in the Analytics Warehouse, migrating logic from legacy tools.
• Own tracking plan implementation and QA in Segment and Amplitude with Product/Engineering.
• Support experimentation by modelling data into structured formats for analysts/PMs.
• Define and document metrics in the semantic layer for consistent BI/AI outputs.
• Apply AI-augmented data modelling as standard in code writing/review/migration.
• Collaborate with Product Managers/Analysts to create reusable data models.
• Maintain data quality via dbt tests, freshness SLAs, and monitoring.
