A leading tech company based in Berlin is seeking a Software(Senior) Engineer to join the People Systems team. In this role, you will focus on building and automating workflows, developing AI-enabled solutions, and ensuring API integrations for enhanced operational efficiency. With a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration, the ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of software engineering experience. We are on the lookout for a Software(Senior) Engineer - People Tech to join the People Systems team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.
Build and automate end-to-end workflows connecting Workday with Slack, leveraging tools such as n8n or Make to improve operational efficiency and employee experience
Develop AI-enabled or agent-based automations where applicable, using scripting and orchestration frameworks (e.g. Slack, HR systems, internal services, external APIs)
Build and experiment with AI/ML-enabled and agent-based solutions, including intelligent workflows, assistants, and task automation (e.g. using Google Agentspace or similar platforms)
Implement API-based integrations with enterprise systems (such as Workday) to enable automation and data-driven use cases
Support and improve existing automations and integrations, troubleshooting issues and optimizing performance
Collaborate closely with People Tech, HR, and other internal teams to design and deliver impactful solutions
Ensure solutions are well-documented, secure, and compliant with internal standards and relevant regulations
5+ years of experience in software engineering, scripting, automation, or integrations
Strong hands-on experience with Python, JavaScript, JSON, REST APIs, and webhooks
Experience designing and building system-to-system integrations and automation workflows, Slack-based workflows or bots; Hands-on experience with workflow automation tools such as n8n, Make, or similar platforms
Exposure to or hands-on experience with AI / ML concepts or tools (e.g. LLMs, agents, AI APIs, orchestration frameworks)
Experience with Web Services and APIs (REST, SOAP, WSDL, WS standards)
Strong ownership mindset and ability to work across AI-driven initiatives and enterprise integrations based on business priorities
