Job Description

A Geospatial AI Business Developer & Market Analyst position has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Friedrichshafen at Lake Constance. You will join the Geospatial Business team and be part of a VIE contract that offers young professionals a paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.

Contract duration: 6 to 24 months, with potential travel for business up to several times per month in Europe.

VIE Main Requirements

• European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Monaco) and graduates up to and including 28 years old.
• Military obligations for your country must be fulfilled, if any.
• Must be registered on the Mon Volontariat International website before age 28.

Responsibilities

• Deliver market intelligence on AI‑driven geospatial mapping solutions (competitor analysis, opportunities, trends).
• Contribute to defining the overall business strategy (vision, value proposition, positioning, business models).
• Support third‑party engagement activities and partnerships, consolidating the future sales pipeline.
• Assist in overall product definition and key feature consolidation across technology roadmaps.

Required Skills

• Engineering Master’s degree in AI, Computer Science or Data Science.
• Qualification and experience in strategic management, international business, marketing, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in strategy, marketing, business development, sales or a related area.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Experience with sales and marketing tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) and Google Suite.

Additional Skills

• Proactive and self‑motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze market trends and customer feedback.
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet customers and attend industry events.
• Fluent English is a must; French and/or German are a plus.
