Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company is seeking a Contract Manager for a leading energy infrastructure business with a growing European footprint, focused on large-scale BESS projects. The role demands robust contract execution, risk management and close collaboration with legal, procurement, finance and project delivery teams in a multinational setting.

You will oversee external stakeholder agreements, assess changes and claims, and support commercial negotiations.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract management within construction, infrastructure or energy projects.
• Understanding of commercial and contractual principles.
• Experience managing risks, claims, variations and negotiations.
• Academic qualification in Law, Engineering, Commercial Management or related.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters.
• German C1+ and Fluent English.
• Experience on large-scale infrastructure or capital projects.
• Background in renewable energy or energy storage.
• Familiarity with construction contract frameworks.
• Experience in international project teams.

The Role & Responsibilities

• Manage contractual execution of large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Oversee agreements with external stakeholders.
• Monitor contractual performance, managing obligations and commercial terms.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks, including claims, variations and potential disputes.
• Lead assessment of contractual changes, additional costs and claims.
• Provide contractual support to wider business teams.
• Support commercial negotiations and the resolution of contractual issues.
• Work closely with legal, procurement, finance and project delivery teams.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of internal contract management processes and procedures.

Requirements

• Experience in contract management within construction, infrastructure or energy-related projects.
• Understanding of commercial and contractual principles within complex projects.
• Experience managing contractual risks, claims, variations and negotiations.
• Relevant academic qualification in Law, Engineering, Commercial Management or a relevant discipline.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple contractual matters.
• German Proficiency C1+ and Fluent English.
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or capital investment projects.
• Background in renewable energy, energy storage or other technical infrastructure sectors.
• Familiarity with construction contract frameworks.
• Experience working within international project teams.
