Job summary

Taylor Root is seeking an experienced Contract Manager for major construction and energy infrastructure projects in Germany. The role involves assessing contractual entitlement and actively negotiating significant claims, with a focus on robust project execution and stakeholder alignment.

Candidates should have 4-5+ years in large-scale projects, fluent German (C1), and experience across rail, civil engineering, energy, EPC, or utilities sectors.

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years within major construction/infrastructure projects.
• Experience assessing contractual entitlement.
• Personally involved in negotiating significant claims.
• Strong understanding of project execution.
• C1/business-fluent German.

Responsibilities

• Assess and negotiate significant contractual claims on major projects.
• Contribute to project execution strategies and risk management.
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders on entitlement.
• Support senior stakeholders in complex construction/infrastructure matters.

Job description

I'm looking to speak with experienced Contract Managers who have worked on major construction or infrastructure projects and have been directly involved in assessing and negotiating significant contractual claims.

This is an opportunity to join a major organisation delivering some of Germany's most important energy infrastructure projects, with a long-term project pipeline and claims ranging from approximately €80k to €100m.

The key experience we’re looking for:

• 4-5+ years within major construction/infrastructure projects
• Experience assessing contractual entitlement
• Personally involved in negotiating significant claims
• Strong understanding of project execution
• C1 / business-fluent German
• Energy experience helpful, but not essential

Dortmund or Hamburg | Hybrid working | 38-hour week
