About Muuv
Muuv is an early-stage aerospace company building the next generation of autonomous aircraft for logistics and defence. We're a small, focused team of engineers and operators united by a common goal: to design, build, and fly unmanned aircraft that work reliably, affordably, and at scale. We believe that the future of aviation will be autonomous, and we're building the systems to make that happen.
Role overview
As UAV Integration & Test Engineer, you will lead the integration and test activities across our platforms. In the first 12–18 months, you will focus on bringing up and operating our surrogate UAVs and LSA testbed, building reliable integration practices and test procedures. Over the medium term (years 3–4), this role is expected to develop into a lead position in prototype integration, or flight test and operations, helping to define how we operate a small fleet of aircraft and interface with test ranges, partners, and authorities.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the integration of avionics, propulsion, payloads, telemetry, and ground segment equipment across multiple platforms
- Develop and maintain pre-flight and post-flight procedures, checklists, and maintenance logs suitable for an expanding fleet
- Plan and execute test campaigns (ground tests, taxi tests, flight tests), including test cards, acceptance criteria, and basic risk assessments
- Operate ground control stations (e.g. PX4 + QGroundControl ecosystem or comparable systems), manage mission uploads, and monitor flights including contingency handling
- Collect and organise test data (logs, telemetry, video) and support analysis and reporting together with software and avionics engineers
- Contribute to the development of the company's operations framework and documentation, aligned with SORA and structured safety processes
Profile
- Degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or comparable experience
- 3+ years of experience in UAV or aircraft integration and testing, or a strong practical track record combined with relevant technical skills
- Solid hands‑on skills in mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, and hardware troubleshooting
- Experience with modern open UAV ecosystems and associated ground control software, with an interest in working with more commercial‑grade systems over time
- Experience planning and executing structured flight tests
- Basic skills in data/log analysis (Python, MATLAB, or similar)
- Willingness to work frequently at airfields/test ranges and adapt working hours to operational windows
- Valid driving licence; very good English, strong German skills are a plus for interaction with airfields and authorities
- Familiarity with piloting UAVs or model aircraft, ideally including UAV pilot certification
- Manned aviation experience (e.g. PPL/LAPL, glider, microlight)
- Familiarity with European UAV regulations, SORA, and test range operations
- Experience with composite structures and repair
What we offer
- Hands‑on ownership of aircraft integration and test from prototype to production
- A highly practical role with regular test campaigns and real responsibility in the field
- A small, senior team where your work has immediate impact
- Competitive compensation with equity participation
- The chance to shape a company—and an industry—from the ground up
