Wingcopter GmbH is seeking a senior test engineer to plan and execute comprehensive test campaigns for W198 Copter equipment and system integration. You will analyze requirements, provide technical leadership, and resolve issues during testing to meet safety goals.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, install measurement systems, and develop benches for lifetime testing, ensuring robust environmental and flight testing practices.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in aviation, electrical, or computer engineering.
• 7+ years of professional bench testing experience in aviation or automotive.
• Deep understanding of equipment-level to UAS-level testing (SW/HW).
• Experience with environmental testing (DO-160G, MIL-STD-810) and test strategy.
• Knowledge of test-driven development, requirement management tools Jira/Visure, and Python.
• Experience with PX-4 autopilot and eVTOL UAS/manned systems.
• Nice to have experience with EASA/FAA content; Copter instrumentation testing.

Your mission

• Test Planning and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures for W198 Copter equipment, system integration and Overall system with focus on ground testing.
• Requirements Analysis: Evaluate test requirements, contribute to their refinement, and ensure they are aligned with project and safety goals.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues during testing, ensuring timely solutions are implemented.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of test results, analyse findings, and generate reports for stakeholders.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including internal and external customers, to ensure successful test campaigns.
• Instrumentation: The candidate is capable to choose market available/inhouse develop measurements units and able to install as per test need.
• MILSTD 810, DO160G based lab/environmental testing and certification testing (ANATEL, FCC, EMC, etc.).
• Develop methods and benches for equipment lifetime testing.

Your profile

• Master’s Degree as aviation engineer, electrical engineering, computer engineering or similar
• 7+ years of professional experience in system bench testing/ equipment testing domain (aviation and/or automotive)
• Deep understanding of equipment level testing to UAS level testing including SW, HW and
• Professional working experience in environmental testing (DO 160 G, MIL STD 810) and able to define test strategy of product durability and reliability evaluation.
• Working know-how of:
  • Test-driven development, Experience based testing and iterative V – based production development cycle.
  • Jira , Visure (requirement management tool) , Python
  • PX-4 auto flight-controller, eVTOL UAS/manned aircraft system
• Nice to have good experience in manned/ unmanned aviation, experience with EASA and FAA relevant content or similar is a plus
• Professional experience : Copter instrumentation for testing
