AVILUS GmbH is seeking a Software Test & Verification Engineer to advance flight-critical control software for unmanned aircraft. You will develop model- and software-in-the-loop tests, verify function design against requirements, and collaborate with test, flight controls, and systems engineers to ensure safe operation of our platforms in Ismaning.
The role emphasizes DO-178C/DO-278A compliance, model-based design, and toolchain automation, with a focus on robust verification across dynamic
Do you want to work on a New Class of Unmanned Aircraft? Our product universe spans three different platforms with maximum take-off weights of up to 1000 kg and characteristic dimensions of 8 m: The hexacopter Grille for medical evacuation, the multi-role rotorcraft Wespe for logistics and support operations, as well as the fixed-wing drone Bussard for surveillance and intelligence missions. All systems are powered by RasCore, our highly redundant, military-grade avionics system for safe operations within EASA’s Specific Category. Three aircraft, one mission: to bridge the gap between small UAVs and traditional manned systems.

Have you ever wondered how our products achieve their mission and maybe more importantly under which conditions? The dynamic behavior of an aircraft can depend heavily on external influences. How can the system be safe even though failures occur and which scenarios can lead to catastrophic events?
As a Software Test and Verification Engineer, you are dedicated to identifying these failures by developing Model- and Software-in-the-Loop test cases using MATLAB/Simulink and in-house toolchains. This means you will verify that the function’s design reflects the system requirements and help enhance our toolchains to further automate our processes. Therefore, you will work closely with test, flight controls, and systems engineers to ensure the safe operation of our products.
