Job summary

Tata Communications Limited. - Tcl is seeking a seasoned telecom professional in Frankfurt to lead SDH/DWDM/OTN based capacity planning and provisioning in a fast-changing environment.

You will handle enterprise connections, design access and core networks, and collaborate with multiple teams to meet SLA targets while driving process improvements and delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in SDH/DWDM/OTN with good discipline, winning attitude and team focus.
• Graduation in Telecommunications/Electronics.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite with good PowerPoint and Excel.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge on IP networks.
• Cramer Inventory knowledge would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• In-depth knowledge of optical layer transport systems, OTN, ROADM, SDH, cross connect switching and signal grooming; know ring/mesh topologies.
• Experience in SDH, DWDM & OTN technology for creation and migration of transmission bandwidth.
• High- & Low-level Design and planning in SDH, DWDM & OTN systems.
• Processing simple/complex capacity requests for enterprise connections under the Classic SLA.
• Meet redundancy requirements with protection across MSP, MSPRING, and SNCP.
• Coordinate with transport network teams to design access/core networks and optimize capacity.

Job description

Processing of fixed network trail orders (new trails, migration, clearing, deconfiguration) and capacity requests.

Processing of switching orders, Cramer-Fixed und Cramer-Mobile (ARM & ANN) Objects, and capacity orders in the core

Technical Experience:

Proficiency in SDH digital hierarchy is required from fractional T1/E1 to 100G circuit level.

Good Planning knowledge in PDH, SDH, Ethernet, and DWDM systems and Knowledge on transmission network products, like U2000 NMS, Marconi, Nortel and Ciena 6500 equipment s etc.

Ability to devise solutions for various projects like Site, Ring, Legacy equipment optimization and migrations.

Good knowledge on various Telecommunication equipment s.

Knowledge in various products offered by service provider.

Experience to perform following tasks -. creating/editing/deleting distributors, links, nodes and other objects in Cramer

Experience of working in an operational environment & ticketing system alongside other technical and operational teams

Experience of identifying scope for improvement, process reviews and developing and implementing new processes

Flexibility in a rapidly changing and developing environment

Key Responsibilities:

Meet redundancy requirements with protection across MSP, MSPRING, and SNCP.

Coordinate with various transport network teams to create design access and core network, capacity manage and optimize the network

Create and maintain strong operational relationships with the customers, internal business owners and other key stakeholders

Maintain a proactive approach to operational and service issues, ensuring KPIs, SLAs, service qualities are met. Review of KPIs and drive Improvement plan development and implementation

Management of operational issues by understanding impact, identifying solution options, liaising with technical team and business owners.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in SDH/DWDM/OTN with good discipline, winning attitude and keep on trying to achieve a team goal mentality.

Graduation in Telecommunications/ Electronics.

Proficient in MS Office Suite with good skills in PowerPoint and Excel.

Good communication and Interpersonal skill.

Basic knowledge on IP networks.

Relevant domain certifications and Cramer Inventory knowledge would be an advantage
