Zusammenfassung

Siemens is seeking a highly skilled protection engineer to advance digital protection for HV systems. You will apply specialist knowledge to resolve complex issues, collaborate with R&D, PLM, project execution, and sales, and use DIGSI 4/5 with IEC 61850/GOOSE standards.

You will also coach juniors, contribute to customer satisfaction, and help strengthen Siemens Global Customer Care across global teams.

• Education in electrical/power engineering with professional experience.
• Proven expertise in digital protection tech and SIPROTEC portfolio.
• Proficient in configuration/parameterization tools and IEC 61850/GOOSE.

• You confidently apply your deep technical expertise in protection technology for medium- and high-voltage systems. Your spectrum ranges from transmission lines and busbars to transformers and complex rotating electrical machines.
• You take full responsibility for technical inquiries-from standard cases to highly complex, system-critical issues. You drive the process to a successful conclusion while actively optimizing collaboration between customers and internal stakeholders, including R&D, Product Management (PLM), Project Execution, and Sales.

Your profile for "Empowering the Future":

• Education: You hold a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering and have first professional experience. Alternatively, you have a Bachelor's degree combined with extensive, relevant professional experience.
• Experience & Skills:
  • You are a proven expert in products and applications for digital protection technology (ideally the SIPROTEC portfolio). Your knowledge covers the entire range: from line and busbar protection to complex protection concepts for transformers and rotating machines.
  • You are proficient in configuration and parameterization tools (specifically DIGSI 4 & 5). Furthermore, you have sound knowledge of modern communication protocols (e.g., IEC 61850, GOOSE) and industrial networking technology.
• Ways of working:
  • Your problem-solving skills are exceptional. You work methodically, with high attention to detail, and keep a cool head even under pressure in critical fault scenarios.
  • You act confidently in a culturally and professionally diverse environment. You view diversity as a strength and leverage it for efficient, global collaboration.
• Languages: You are business-fluent in English, German is a plus. You can prepare and present complex technical matters appropriately for different target groups-from on-site technicians to senior management.
