You are part of the System Engineering Team in the Process Control Solutions division of CarlZeiss SMT GmbH and work in an interdisciplinary team of system engineers and productdevelopers in system design and the development of wafer tools for automated inspection andmetrology of semiconductor wafers. For the portfolio of various inspection and metrology tools,you ensure that the different products achieve maximum commonality in terms of standardmodules in both hardware and software and are optimized from an economic perspective.Your Role:Collecting and analyzing the requirements of various stakeholders to ensure that the wafer inspection tools meet the needs of the customersConsolidating and unifying the various products during further development, constantly considering the cost and benefit of unificationOngoing development and use of standard modules for hardware and software to maximize reusability and interoperability between different productsDeveloping a modular system architecture that facilitates the integration of hardware and software components and improves maintainabilityClose collaboration with hardware engineers, software developers, and other departments to ensure that the developed solutions comply with common standardsParticipating in the development and execution of test plans to validate the standard modules and ensure the quality and reliability of the productsSupporting the planning and execution of projects to ensure that the development of wafer inspection and metrology tools remains within the established time and budget frameworksYour Profile:A very well-completed degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, physics, physical engineering, and several years of professional experience; a PhD is advantageousExperience in the product development of complex systems and machines in industrial metrology; ideally in the semiconductor environmentProfound knowledge in system architecture and the development of modular solutionsStrong analytical thinking, systematic working methods, and problem-solving skillsAbility to collaborate and communicate interdisciplinarily with various stakeholdersKnowledge of programming languages and software development is an advantageWillingness to work in a highly dynamic work environmentYour ZEISS Recruiting Team:Georgios Tanoglou
