Schaeffler is seeking a System Cloud Architect in the System Development "Vehicle Control" area to drive new product and technology concepts for Software Defined Vehicle, connected car and edge-to-cloud solutions.

You will design system and software architectures for cloud-based services, lead PoCs, manage stakeholders across R&D and IT, and help advance digitalization. Fluent English and German are required; on-site in Germany.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, electrical engineering or related, ideally with software engineering or systems design focus.
• Several years of professional IT experience in automotive applications.
• Experience building cloud solutions with greenfield and brownfield approaches.
• Long-term experience managing multiple initiatives and aligning stakeholders.
• Ability to assess emerging IT technologies and automotive processes.
• Innovative, collaborative and able to drive cross-disciplinary projects.
• Fluent in English and German.

Responsabilités

• Design system and software architecture for cloud-based services from edge to cloud.
• Create PoCs for cloud service applications with connected car, IoT, and digital twin.
• Oversee end-to-end technology challenges from embedded to cloud.
• Drive digitalization and efficient engineering solutions as a team member.
• Analyze trends and automotive standards; gather and evaluate requirements.
• Stakeholder management with R&D and IT; coordinate related subprojects.
• Report directly to Head of Innovation Vehicle Controls.

As the System Cloud Architect of System Development "Vehicle Control" (m/f/d) you will drive new product- and technology-concepts for “Software defined Vehicle” related to EE Architecture

Your Key Responsabilities:

• System, Software Architecture design for cloud-based services of complex and innovative Products for edge to cloud applications automotive & Cross industry
• Design and create Proof of Concept for cloud service applications with connected car, IoT and digital Twin solutions.
• Oversees end-to-end technology challenge embedded solutions up to cloud solutions
• Drives as team member Digitalization and efficient Engineering solutions
• Analyze, collect and evaluate new requirements, trends, technologies and automotive standards
• Active Stakeholder management including alignment with R&D and IT departments
• Coordination of related Subprojects & workstreams
• Reports directly to Head of Innovation Vehicle Controls

Your profile:

• Successufully completed degree in IT electrical Engineering or other related studies, ideally with a focus on Software Engineering or Systems Design
• Several years of professional experience in IT technology position in collaboration with Automotive Applications
• Several years of professional experience in building cloud solutions with green and brown field approach
• Longterm years of managing multiple initiatives and aligning different Stakeholders
• Support implementation from concept through integration
• Ability to assess emerging IT technologies and evaluate their business relevance and understanding of automotive processes, systems, and industry trends
• Innovative, likes driving pioneering Ideas in cross disciplines collaboration Projects
• Collaborate in networks internally and externally and drive partnership with customers, suppliers and universities
• Fluent in English and German
