SEG Automotive Germany GmbH, Stuttgart, seeks a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) in Embedded Software Development & Function Configuration (eDrive) to design, develop, and maintain embedded software for advanced eDrive systems and to shape the future of mobility. The role requires a Master's or Ph.D.
and 5+ years in automotive/ electrification embedded software, with AUTOSAR, safety, cybersecurity, CAN/LIN/Ethernet expertise and strong collaboration across international teams.
Qualifikationen
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering, embedded systems, automotive engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum five years of experience in automotive or electrification embedded software development.
- Strong expertise in embedded software architecture and development, including AUTOSAR, functional safety, cybersecurity, and automotive control systems.
- Sound knowledge of eDrive systems, inverter and motor control, power electronics, and vehicle networks such as CAN, CAN FD, LIN, and Ethernet.
- Experience with software integration, embedded testing and debugging, V-model development, Automotive SPICE, and requirements tools such as DOORS or Polarion.
- Proven experience in requirements coordination, supplier management, and leading technical discussions across multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, combined with a structured, proactive, and quality-focused working style.

- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for advanced eDrive systems.
- Define software architecture, interfaces, and functional concepts, and translate functional requirements into robust software specifications.
- Configure and optimize software functions within eDrive control and transmission systems.
- Support software integration, testing, debugging, validation, releases, and configuration management in line with Automotive SPICE, functional safety, and cybersecurity processes.
- Coordinate requirements and feature development with customers, system, hardware, controls, calibration, and project teams while ensuring end-to-end traceability.
- Manage requirement changes, assess technical impacts, and align internal teams, suppliers, and project management.
- Coordinate external development partners, review designs and test results, track milestones and quality, and act as the primary technical supplier interface.
