Job summary

Berner Omnichannel Trading Holding SE is seeking a Strategic Purchaser (f/m/d) to shape our global sourcing strategy and develop supplier partnerships across international markets. You will deliver sustainable value by managing supplier negotiations, contracts, and lifecycle performance while collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and other functions.

The role requires a degree in a relevant field and several years in strategic purchasing within industrial or trading environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in Strategic Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain within an industrial or trading environment.
• Strong understanding of sourcing markets, supplier management, and procurement processes.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and strategic sourcing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement international sourcing strategies for direct material product groups.
• Analyze product categories, supply markets, and cost structures to identify opportunities.
• Identify, qualify, evaluate, and develop suppliers to build a high-performing supply base.
• Lead price, contract, and commercial negotiations and establish long-term framework agreements.
• Manage supplier contracts throughout their lifecycle and ensure compliance with terms.
• Drive cross-functional sourcing projects with stakeholders across Engineering, Quality, Operations and Supply Chain.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives using a Total Cost of Ownership approach.
• Review and approve invoices within area of responsibility.
• Leverage modern procurement tools to improve processes and efficiency.
