Jobtailor is seeking a driven policy and research professional to support higher education initiatives. You will coordinate project plans, track milestones, and craft policy briefs and presentations for diverse stakeholders.

The role emphasizes translating complex research into actionable insights to promote student success. You will engage with partners at the Chancellor’s Office and FoundationCCC, conducting qualitative and quantitative studies, and synthesizing findings to inform strategic

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of three years of related work experience in stakeholder engagement, policy development, research, or project management.
• Experience working within higher education systems with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Experience conducting secondary, applied research.
• Experience writing in‑depth reports in a professional setting.
• Experience managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the project team lead in developing and executing project plans


• Track deliverables, milestones, and outcomes


• Develop policy briefs, reports, presentations, and communication materials


• Translate complex research, policy analysis, and project conclusions into actionable insights and recommendations


• Support the design and execution of research to improve student success


• Support qualitative and quantitative research activities


• Assist with data collection through interviews, focus groups, and case studies


• Conduct data analysis using publicly available data


• Conduct secondary research and synthesize higher education research and policy findings


• Build and sustain relationships with FoundationCCC partners, the Chancellor’s Office, and higher education, government, and nonprofit partners


• Monitor federal, state, and system office policy development efforts


• Attend Chancellor’s Office events, Board of Governors meetings, legislative hearings, briefings, and other relevant meetings virtually or in person


• Contribute to student success and equity in higher education through strategic planning and implementation of multiple initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience in stakeholder engagement, policy development, research, or project management


• Experience working within higher education systems and structures, including working with a wide range of stakeholders


• Experience conducting secondary, applied research


• Experience writing in-depth reports in a professional setting


• Experience managing multiple projects with competing deadlines


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to produce clear, professional, and audience-appropriate reports, briefs, and presentations


• Highly organized, self-starting, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively


• Strategic and creative thinker, adaptable in fast-paced environments, able to problem-solve and respond swiftly to emerging needs


• Must reside in California


• Some travel required
