Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Government Relations professional to lead external engagement efforts and coordinate with senior leaders on policy priorities. The role demands deep ACA knowledge, stakeholder collaboration, and the ability to translate complex policy into actionable strategies.

You'll work with the CEO and policy officers to shape the external relations roadmap, prepare executives for high-level discussions, and present impact-driven analyses.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in public policy, public administration, public health, health policy, political science, social science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with stakeholder engagement.
• Thorough knowledge of ACA components and health insurance exchanges.
• Familiarity with Connect for Health Colorado’s stakeholder organizations.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Public speaking experience and ability to present to large groups.
• Strong project management and ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines.
• Spanish-speaking candidates encouraged to apply.

• Participate in development and implementation of the external relations strategy.
• Track legislative and political developments and help determine engagement strategies.
• Prepare leaders for meetings and coordinate organizational policy positions with Leadership and the Board.
• Prepare talking points, stakeholder profiles, meeting briefs, issue summaries, presentations, and recommendations for executives.
• Serve as staff lead and facilitator for the organization’s Board Advisory Group.
• Maintain existing relationships and establish new partnerships to advance strategic goals and policy priorities.
• Track partnership growth and impact.
• Inform strategic communications and public messaging using insights and needs from external stakeholders.
• Assist and advise the Executive Leadership Team, Board of Directors, and associated committees.
• Represent government relations in monthly internal leadership meetings.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to inform organizational strategic decision-making.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Colorado resident
• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public administration, public health, health policy, political science, social science, or a related field required
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with stakeholder engagement
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of key components of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and health insurance exchanges
• Familiarity with Connect for Health Colorado’s stakeholder organizations
• Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Demonstrated experience and success in facilitation, collaboration, and coordination of key stakeholder discussions
• Ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment and quantitative analytics
• Experience and comfort speaking in public and presenting to large groups
• Ability to manage diverse internal and external stakeholder perspectivesStrong project management skills, including overseeing multiple complex projects with competing deadlines
• Spanish-speaking candidates encouraged to apply
• Ability to work some non-traditional hours, weekends, and evening events
