We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Vehicle Dynamics Simulation Engineer to join our growing Vehicle Dynamics team at our German R&D center. As part of an international organization, you will play a key role in shaping the driving performance of next-generation electric vehicles, working closely with global teams across China and Europe.
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity vehicle dynamics simulation models using MBS and vehicle dynamics simulation tools.
- Drive simulation-based vehicle setup and concept optimization prior to prototype availability
- Contribute to vehicle dynamics development in the early project phase by defining target attributes and technical concepts to achieve desired ride and handling performance.
- Assess and influence platform and architecture definition by evaluating the vehicle dynamics impact of key concept decisions.
- Correlate simulation results with test data and contribute to model validation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with vehicle testing teams on test planning, execution, and data interpretation.
- Contribute to the development and standardization of simulation methodologies and workflows.
- Interface with cross-functional teams including chassis design, control systems, and NVH.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Good understanding of vehicle dynamics fundamentals (handling, ride, steering, etc.).
- Strong background in vehicle dynamics and multi-body simulation (MBS), hands-on experience with MBS tools such as Adams or Simpack.
- Solid programming skills in MATLAB and/or Python.
- Experience in data analysis and developing analysis tools.
- Structured, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English; German or Chinese is a plus.
- Experience with rig testing (e.g. K&C rigs, 4-post rigs) is a plus.
- Experience with real-time vehicle simulation and Driver-in-the-Loop tools (e.g. VI-Grade, IPG CarMaker, CarSim) is a plus.
