Aufgaben

• Technical and operational leadership of the short-haul/local distribution team.
• CoDi pick-up operations including management and further development of staff.
• Responsibility for dispatching the short-haul fleet and management of external contractors.
• Ensuring efficient processes across the short-haul/local transport area.
• Strategic collaboration and negotiation with regular transport contractors.
• Central contact point for internal departments within freight forwarding/transport organization.
• Procurement of special-purpose vehicles, including price negotiations and cost optimization.
• Monitoring service quality, especially for premium services (on-time and delivery).
• Preparation of billing in a correct and timely manner.
• Involvement in seasonal and capacity planning.
• Onboarding new customers, including process setup and optimization.
• Analysis of KPIs and derivation and implementation of optimization measures.

• Responsibility for dispatching the short-haul fleet (piece goods & carrier vehicles) and management of external contractors
• Ensuring efficient and seamless processes across the entire short-haul/local transport area
• Strategic and operational collaboration and negotiation with regular transport contractors
• Central point of contact for internal departments and interface management within the freight forwarding/transport organization
• Responsible for procurement of special-purpose vehicles, including price negotiations and cost optimization
• Monitoring service quality, especially for premium services (on-time performance, delivery)
• Ensuring correct and timely preparation of billing
• Active involvement in and management of seasonal and capacity planning
• Responsible for onboarding new customers, including process setup and optimization
• Analysis of KPIs and derivation and implementation of optimization measures

Requirements

• Completed training as a forwarding and logistics services clerk (Kaufmann für Spedition und Logistikdienstleistung) or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in dispatch/short-haul operations, ideally with initial leadership experience or readiness for the next career step toward team leadership
• Solid experience working with subcontractors
• Strong leadership, communication and assertiveness skills
• High level of organizational ability, sense of responsibility and entrepreneurial thinking
• Confident user of MS Office and ideally experience with dispatch/planning systems
• Very good written and spoken German skills
