Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking a senior software engineer to design and build scalable finance SaaS services. You will own end-to-end technical problems, craft reliable APIs, and drive architecture for high-volume transactions within an enterprise ERP/finance context.

You will collaborate with product and finance specialists to translate requirements into robust designs, improve performance and observability, and mentor a team of engineers in a fast-paced, cloud-first environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Engineering.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering with ownership of complex systems.
• Strong programming in Java, Python, C++, Go or similar.
• Experience designing distributed systems and scalable backends.
• Proficient with RESTful APIs and microservice architectures.
• SQL and relational database expertise.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern dev practices.
• Knowledge of ERP/Finance domains and financial concepts.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software services for Workday Finance capabilities.
• Own complex technical problems from requirements through production support.
• Design and implement reliable APIs, backend services, data models, and distributed systems.
• Develop solutions for financial transactions, billing, revenue, and reporting workflows.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, traceability, and auditability of financial data.
• Build resilient services with proper error handling and data reconciliation.
• Participate in architecture/design reviews and guide technical direction.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Finance SMEs to translate requirements into designs.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability and observability.
• Develop automated unit/integration/end-to-end tests and CI/CD practices.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering excellence through code reviews.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain highly scalable software services supporting Workday Finance capabilities
• Own complex technical problems from requirements and architecture through implementation, production deployment, and ongoing support
• Design and implement reliable APIs, backend services, data models, and distributed systems
• Develop solutions supporting financial transactions, accounting, billing, revenue, reporting, and related Finance workflows
• Ensure financial data is accurate, consistent, secure, traceable, and auditable
• Design systems capable of handling high transaction volumes while meeting performance, availability, and reliability requirements
• Build resilient services with appropriate handling of retries, failures, duplicate transactions, and data reconciliation
• Participate in architecture and design reviews and influence technical direction
• Partner with Product Management and Finance subject-matter experts to translate business requirements into effective technical designs
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and continuously improve system reliability, performance, and observability
• Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Contribute to CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring, logging, and operational excellence
• Identify opportunities to simplify architecture, improve engineering processes, and reduce technical debt
• Mentor other engineers and provide technical leadership within the team
• Champion engineering best practices through code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated ownership of complex systems
• Strong programming experience in one or more modern languages such as Java, Python, C++, Go, or similar
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles
• Experience designing and developing distributed systems and scalable backend services
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs, service-oriented or microservice architectures, and asynchronous/event-driven systems
• Strong SQL and relational database experience
• Experience with cloud technologies and modern software development practices
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and production support
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop practical, scalable solutions
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience developing ERP, Finance, accounting, billing, revenue, or financial management software
• Understanding of financial concepts including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, revenue recognition, accounting periods, and financial reporting
• Experience with high-volume transaction-processing systems
• Experience with event-driven architectures and distributed messaging systems
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or comparable container technologies
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or other cloud platforms
• Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS applications
• Familiarity with financial data reconciliation, auditability, and data-integrity requirements
• Experience working within an enterprise SaaS environment
• Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience
