LexisNexis Risk Solutions in Merseburg, Germany is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I to advance mobile SDK technology used across devices worldwide. You will work primarily with Java and Objective-C, with opportunities to integrate C/C++ components and modern Kotlin/Swift layers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development with mobile focus.
• Strong mobile engineering on Android (Java) or iOS (Objective-C) with willingness to learn the other platform.
• Solid understanding of mobile architecture, lifecycles, APIs, performance and debugging.
• Experience with mobile SDKs, libraries or frameworks is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Kotlin, Swift, C/C++, JNI or Android NDK is a plus.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, Git, multithreading and networking fundamentals.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills for international Agile teams.

About the Role

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer I to join our international Device Intelligence Engineering team. You will develop and enhance mobile SDK technology used across millions of devices worldwide, helping businesses strengthen fraud prevention and digital identity solutions. This is an SDK-focused engineering role, working primarily with Java (Android) and Objective-C (iOS), rather than application UI development.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality mobile SDK components for Android and iOS.
• Enhance existing Java and Objective-C codebases, progressively expanding expertise across both platforms.
• Work with native C/C++ components, JNI integrations, and modern Kotlin/Swift integration layers.
• Design reliable, secure, and backward-compatible SDK APIs for seamless customer integration.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues involving mobile platforms, performance, concurrency, memory, and networking.
• Contribute to automated testing, Continuous Integration, code reviews, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with international engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable software solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 4+ years of professional software development experience, including strong mobile engineering expertise.
• Advanced development skills in either Android (Java) or iOS (Objective-C), with a willingness to learn and contribute to the other platform.
• Solid understanding of mobile architecture, application lifecycles, APIs, performance optimization, and debugging.
• Experience developing, integrating, or maintaining mobile SDKs, libraries, or frameworks is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Kotlin, Swift, C/C++, JNI, or Android NDK is an advantage.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, Git, multithreading, and networking fundamentals.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in international Agile teams.

Primary Location Base Pay Range: Germany - Merseburg €59,300 - €98,600. If performed in any of the following locations: Home-Based - Sweden, and Sweden - Lulea, the base pay range is kr501,000 - kr836,600. If performed in the following location: Sweden - Stockholm, the base pay range is kr526,100 - kr878,400.
