Tanso, Munich-based, is redefining industrial sustainability with its carbon accounting platform. We seek a Senior Software Engineer to own complex features end-to-end and drive architecture decisions in a fast, high-ownership environment.

You will work on TypeScript-based frontend and backend, collaborate with design, customer success, and other engineers, and ship production-ready code that scales. German language skills are a nice-to-have.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of hands-on TypeScript experience in high velocity SaaS environments.
• Strong full-stack and product thinking, understanding systems end-to-end.
• Experience with backend development, ideally with PostgreSQL and Azure.
• Clear, precise communicator in English.
• Self-driven problem solver with strong ownership and execution mindset.

Your role

To combine strong product judgment with deep technical ownership, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (f/m/x).

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own complex features and technical initiatives end-to-end, from understanding the underlying problem and challenging assumptions to designing the solution, shipping it, and improving it in production. Alongside your work within a product module, you will help solve technical problems that have broader consequences for the platform and the engineers building on it.

At Tanso, senior engineers remain hands-on product builders. The main difference at senior level is not simply owning “bigger features.” It is your ability to go deeper technically, navigate more complex problem spaces, make high-quality architectural decisions, and raise the effectiveness of the engineering organization around you.
