Senior Project Manager - BESS - HV Projects - Berlin / Frankfurt

The Company

A rapidly growing renewable energy developer focused on accelerating Germany’s energy transition through utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). With a 10GW+ development pipeline and a growing portfolio of large-scale projects across Germany, the company is playing a key role in enabling grid flexibility and supporting the integration of renewable energy.

Backed by strong financial support and an experienced international team, the business is expanding its project delivery capabilities and is looking for a Senior Project Manager to support the execution of major energy infrastructure projects.

The Opportunity

The company is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of the delivery of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage projects across Germany.

You will oversee projects from late-stage development through construction, commissioning and operational handover, working closely with internal teams, contractors, investors and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of utility-scale BESS projects from development through to commercial operation.
• Take responsibility for project schedules, budgets, quality and successful execution.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, permitting, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Manage relationships with TSOs, authorities, investors, EPC contractors and external consultants.
• Support contract management, risk mitigation and change management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide regular reporting to senior management and investment stakeholders.

About You

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Several years of experience delivering large-scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of project execution within the German energy sector.
• Experience managing external stakeholders, contractors and complex project environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Fluent German and English skills.
• Willingness to travel within Germany when required.
