The Green Recruitment Company is assisting a well-established energy developer in Munich to recruit a Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, delivery and commissioning of large-scale BESS projects.

You will own full lifecycle project management across German sites, coordinate permitting, grid connections, EPC partners and suppliers, and ensure safety, timeliness and top-quality delivery in a fast-growing program.

The business has been active in the German market for over 15 years, delivering complex energy infrastructure projects nationwide. In 2025, it entered a new phase of growth following significant investment from a global private equity and infrastructure fund with close to $300bn in assets under management. To support this growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to take ownership of the planning, delivery and commissioning of large-scale BESS projects, from early-stage development through to construction handover.

The Role

• Full lifecycle project management of utility-scale BESS projects in Germany
• Managing timelines, budgets, contractors, and technical stakeholders
• Coordinating permitting, grid connection, EPC partners, and suppliers
• Acting as the key interface between internal teams, investors, and external partners
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards

The Ideal Profile

• Proven experience delivering large-scale energy or infrastructure projects (BESS, renewables, power, or industrial construction experience highly valued)
• Strong understanding of construction, commissioning, and project governance
