Mint Selection | B Corp is seeking a project developer to advance utility-scale energy infrastructure across Germany. The role focuses on early-stage origination through Ready-to-Build, coordinating land rights, planning, permitting and stakeholder engagement.

Ideal candidates will have experience in renewable energy, BESS, grid or related energy projects in Germany, with strong land acquisition and permitting know-how and the ability to manage cross-functional teams.

• Strong knowledge of land acquisition, planning, permitting and stakeholder management.
• Experience progressing projects towards Ready-to-Build status.
• Understanding of grid connection processes at HV/transmission level.
• Strong project coordination, risk management and commercial awareness.
• Fluency in German and English.

Aufgaben

• Develop utility-scale BESS projects from early-stage origination through to Ready-to-Build.
• Identify, assess and secure suitable project sites, cable routes and land rights.
• Lead engagement and negotiations with landowners and coordinate legal support.
• Define and manage planning, permitting and environmental approval strategies.
• Appoint and coordinate external planning, environmental and technical consultants.
• Manage relationships with municipalities, local authorities, communities and other stakeholders.
• Act as the development interface for grid connection activities with TSOs, DSOs and substation owners.
• Maintain project development schedules, budgets, risk registers and internal reporting.
• Coordinate engineering, legal, commercial and finance teams throughout the development process.
• Prepare projects for internal stage-gate approvals and investment decisions.

The business is developing a significant pipeline of utility-scale BESS and grid flexibility projects across Germany. This position will take responsibility for progressing projects from early-stage site identification and evaluation through to Ready-to-Build and handover to the delivery team.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop utility-scale BESS projects from early-stage origination through to Ready-to-Build
• Identify, assess and secure suitable project sites, cable routes and land rights
• Lead engagement and negotiations with landowners and coordinate legal support
• Define and manage planning, permitting and environmental approval strategies
• Appoint and coordinate external planning, environmental and technical consultants
• Manage relationships with municipalities, local authorities, communities and other stakeholders
• Act as the development interface for grid connection activities with TSOs, DSOs and substation owners
• Maintain project development schedules, budgets, risk registers and internal reporting
• Coordinate engineering, legal, commercial and finance teams throughout the development process
• Prepare projects for internal stage-gate approvals and investment decisions
