Job summary

Yanfeng is seeking an experienced CAE engineer to drive interior product simulations for the European engineering interface. You will collaborate with global development teams across China, Germany, US and India to develop robust technical solutions, ensuring high correlation between simulation and test results.

The role requires 6-8 years of CAE experience, strong knowledge of interior systems and advanced tools such as HyperWorks, LS-DYNA and PAM-CRASH.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Automotive/Mechanical/related field.
• 6-8 years of professional CAE simulation experience.
• Knowledge of automotive interior systems (instrument panels, floor consoles, door trims, airbags, seating).
• Experience in CAE safety integration, crashworthiness, sub-system validation and NVH analysis.
• Proficiency with HyperWorks, ANSA, Primer, LS-DYNA, PAM-CRASH and Animator.
• Strong understanding of simulation methods, result interpretation and CAE-test correlation.
• Fluent in German and English, with strong communication skills.
• Organized, self-motivated, analytical and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Carry out CAE simulations of interior products for European customer engineering interface with global teams across China, Germany, US and India.
• Develop technical solution proposals in line with internal and customer specifications and legal requirements.
• Prepare and present technical reports meeting internal and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with design and testing teams to achieve high correlation between simulation and test results.
• Plan and coordinate simulation activities within global teams to support BBP and budget targets.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and share knowledge with junior engineers and global teams.
• Participate in technical reviews related to system integration, structural performance and safety requirements.
• Identify technical risks and implement preventive actions within CAE organization.
• Participate in task forces for critical programs, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive BBP implementation and contribute to standardization of CAE methodologies.

• Responsible for CAE simulations of interior products supporting the European customer engineering interface in collaboration with global development teams across China, Germany, US and India.
• Perform simulations in accordance with internal and customer specifications, as well as applicable legal requirements and develop technical solution proposals.
• Prepare and present technical reports that meet internal and customer requirements.
• Collaborate closely with design and testing teams to develop optimal product solutions ensuring milestone achievement and high correlation between simulation and test results.
• Plan, coordinate and delegate simulation activities within global development teams to support the Best Cost Country (BCC) strategy and achieve budget targets.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams supporting key engineering activities and sharing knowledge with junior engineers and global teams.
• Actively participate in technical reviews related to system integration, structural performance and safety requirements.
• Support the CAE organization in identifying technical risks and implementing preventive actions.
• Actively participate in task force activities for critical programs, driving root cause analysis, corrective actions and problem resolution.
• Drive Best Business Practice (BBP) implementation and contribute to the development and standardization of CAE methodologies across global teams.

Experience/Skills

• Master's degree, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 6-8 years of professional experience in CAE simulation and virtual product development.
• Knowledge of automotive interior systems, including instrument panels, floor consoles, door trims, airbags and seating systems.
• Experience in CAE safety integration, crashworthiness simulations, sub-system validation and NVH analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in industry-standard CAE software including HyperWorks, ANSA, Primer, LS-DYNA, PAM-CRASH and Animator.
• Solid understanding of simulation methodologies, result interpretation and correlation between CAE and physical testing.
• Experience in Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications and Linux environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international and cross-functional environment.
• Business fluent in both German and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, analytical, and solution-oriented with strong interpersonal and teamworking abilities.
