Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of experience in power electronics engineering.
• Experience with resonant and/or soft-switching converters at high power.
• Experience with SiC/GaN or similar technologies.
• Expertise in high-voltage gate drives, transformers, inductors and high-frequency magnetics.
• Hands-on embedded development in C (or FPGA/DSP) for real-time control.
• Comfortable working in a lab with high-voltage and high-current hardware.

• Design and develop high‑power, high‑frequency resonant power converters using soft‑switching topologies.
• Develop embedded control firmware for real‑time regulation, frequency and phase tracking, protection systems and closed‑loop control.
• Design high‑voltage drive electronics, current sensing, power magnetics and energy management circuitry.
• Lead the integration of high‑voltage systems with a strong focus on electrical safety, EMC and thermal performance.
• Characterise existing hardware and drive the evolution of the next‑generation design.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of the complete power electronics and real-time control architecture for a next‑generation medical device. You'll be involved from concept through to testing, working on complex, high‑power systems where hardware and embedded control are closely integrated.

What you'll be working on

• Design and develop high‑power, high‑frequency resonant power converters using soft‑switching topologies.

• Experience with modern power semiconductor technologies (SiC/GaN or similar).
• Expertise in high‑voltage gate drives, transformers, inductors and high‑frequency magnetics.
• Hands‑on embedded development in C (or FPGA/DSP) for real‑time control of power systems.
• Comfortable working in the lab with high‑voltage and high‑current hardware.
