Qualifikationen

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on hardware experience in power converter design (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC).
• Strong understanding of power electronics topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC).
• Experience with high voltage power semiconductor selection (Si/SiC/GaN MOSFETs, diodes) and protection circuits.
• Knowledge of switching waveforms, losses and loss modeling.
• Understanding magnetics (inductors, transformers) and capacitors used for power conversion.
• Experience in design of analog/digital circuits and micro-processors.
• Familiarity with schematic capture and circuit simulation tools.
• Experience supervising PCB layout for manufacturability and EMC optimization.
• Proficiency with basic EE tools (oscilloscopes, network analyzers, signal generators).

What You’ll Do

• Design and build hardware of power electronics converters for use in automotive and energy storage applications.
• Start to finish ownership of hardware – from specification to design, prototype, reliability validation and high-volume manufacturing.
• Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout, and firmware engineering teams to successfully design, validate and manufacture power converters.
• Architecture and modeling of new power converter topologies that achieve better performance.

What You’ll Bring

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
• 4 or more years of relevant hands‑on hardware experience in power converter (AC/DC, DC/DC & DC/AC) design.
• Strong understanding of power electronics topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC & DC/AC).
• Experience with high voltage power semiconductor selection (Si/SiC/GaN MOSFETs, Diodes), gate drive and protection circuit design.
• Good understanding of switching waveforms, semiconductor losses and experience with loss modeling.
• Solid understanding of the theory and application of magnetics (inductors, transformers) and capacitors (electrolytic, film, and ceramic) used for power conversion.
• Good experience with design analog/digital circuits and micro‑processors.
• Familiar with schematic capture and power converter circuit simulation tools.
• Experience in supervision of PCB layout for minimal stray inductance and capacitance, placement strategies for better manufacturability, power/signal plane definition and EMC optimization.
• Proficiency with basic EE tools (oscilloscopes, network analyzers, signal generators, etc.).
