Job description

About Glow25

We are a dynamic, fast-growing beauty and pro-aging company based in Berlin. Our heartfelt mission: Glow moments that last — for our community and for us as a team. Work at Glow25 should inspire, excite, and be fun. That’s why we’re looking for smart, empathetic people who take ownership and grow with us. Join Glow25 and help us redefine beauty. We’re excited to meet you!

Platform Engineer Responsibilities

• Core systems and integrations across the operational landscape - Own and evolve the company’s core operational systems and their integrations, including commerce, ERP, warehouse operations, finance, and customer support platforms, ensuring they work together as a coherent ecosystem.
• Data flows, event consistency, API reliability, and failure handling between systems - Design and maintain reliable data and event flows between systems, with a strong focus on correctness, resilience, and graceful failure handling across business‑critical processes.
• Defining stable interfaces and abstractions that other teams can safely build on - Create and maintain clear integration patterns, interfaces, and abstractions that enable other engineers and teams to build solutions without introducing fragility or duplication.
• Ensuring platform stability, observability, and predictable behavior at scale - Ensure the operational platform remains stable, observable, and predictable as the business scales across higher volumes, additional markets, and increased system complexity.

Your Experience & Qualifications

• Strong experience working with complex, multi-system environments rather than single applications.
• Hands‑on background designing and maintaining system integrations, APIs, and event‑driven workflows.
• Experience ensuring reliability, error handling, and operational resilience in production systems.
• Ability to think in terms of platforms and interfaces, not one‑off solutions.
• Comfortable collaborating with product, AI and automation, and operational teams to translate business needs into robust system design.
• Pragmatic mindset that balances short‑term delivery with long‑term platform health.

Benefits

• Work flexibly, in the way that suits you best – with flexible hours and smart time tracking.
• Home office? Done right. Receive a one‑time €500 allowance to set up your perfect workspace.
• Fully equipped from day one. Choose Mac or Windows, whatever works best for you.
• Glow Card – your monthly treat. Get €50 every month to spend however you like – that’s €600 a year.
• Learning is part of the deal. Whether it’s our Glowcademy, dedicated learning time, or personal development support – we invest in you.
• Enjoy 40% off our entire product range – yes, everything.
• Take a break – you’ve earned it. 30 vacation days + 1 personal holiday + up to 10 additional unpaid days off when you need a real reset. And New Year’s Eve is a day off.
• Health insurance reimburses up to €600 per year for extras like vision aids, alternative medicine, or dental cleanings.
• After probation, we’ll contribute €600 toward your pension plan – and if you add more, we’ll top it up with an extra 20%.
• Exclusive partner perks – discounts and special offers from top brands through our corporate benefit platforms.
• Glowing team spirit – our Glow25 merch sends you belonging.
• Recognised as a Top Company on Kununu for five years in a row – proof of our positive culture.
• Move your way. Choose between Urban Sports Club or Wellpass for workouts and wellness retreats.
