Unzer, a leading European fintech with a HQ in Berlin, is seeking a (Senior) Treasury Manager to strengthen governance, liquidity and regulatory processes. You will lead cross-functional initiatives across Finance, Technology and Banking partners, driving scalable treasury solutions.

The role offers hybrid work with flexible hours and a focus on process improvements in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of treasury, cash management, banking or related experience.
• Strong understanding of treasury operations and liquidity management.
• Experience with policies, procedures, controls, governance or regulatory processes.
• Experience leading projects or supporting change initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (German a plus).

Aufgaben

• Own the Treasury governance framework including policies, procedures, operating manuals and control documentation.
• Manage treasury controls, KYC and regulatory requests and banking documentation.
• Monitor adherence to Treasury controls and coordinate periodic control testing, identifying gaps and remediation.
• Design policies that provide control and position the company for scalable growth.
• Own Treasury operating processes, ensuring they are documented, repeatable and continuously improved.
• Act as a general Treasury Back up for day-to-day operations when team members are absent.
• Coordinate Treasury initiatives across Finance, Technology and Banking partners, tracking actions and ensuring delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve Treasury processes through automation, standardization and system enhancements.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Treasury plays a critical role in ensuring the financial stability, liquidity and operational efficiency of the business. We manage liquidity across multiple entities, support strategic funding initiatives, oversee banking relationships and drive treasury transformation across the organization.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a (Senior) Treasury Manager who combines strong operational understanding with a passion for improving processes, building scalable solutions and driving change across a complex organization.

What You Will Do

• Own the Treasury governance framework including policies, procedures, operating manuals and control documentation.
• Manage treasury controls, KYC and regulatory requests and banking documentation.
• Monitor adherence to Treasury controls and coordinate periodic control testing, identifying gaps and driving remediation.
• See the end‑to‑end impact of processes and design policies that provide control and position the company for scalable growth.
• Own Treasury Operating processes, ensuring they are documented, repeatable and continuously improved.
• Act as a general Treasury Back up for operational continuity supporting day‑to‑day treasury operations when team members are absent.
• Work with Treasury Managers in developing and delivering related reporting.
• Coordinate Treasury initiatives across Finance, Technology and Banking partners, tracking actions and ensuring delivery against agreed timelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve Treasury processes through automation, standardization and system enhancements.

What We Are Looking For

• Several years of experience in Treasury, Cash Management, Banking, Corporate Finance or a related field.
• Strong understanding of treasury operations and liquidity management.
• Experience with policies, procedures, controls, governance, or regulatory processes.
• Experience improving processes, managing projects, or supporting change initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German is a plus.
• Experience in a regulated environment, fintech, process automation, or multi‑jurisdictional operations is an advantage.
