AVATR Global Design Center in Munich is seeking a Senior IT Specialist (1st/2nd line) to maintain daily IT operations, support design teams, and ensure secure, reliable services in a hybrid office environment.

The role involves diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues; administering Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra, and Exchange; and guiding staff with friendly, professional IT support.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in an office-based IT support role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Entra, Active Directory, MS Exchange, and endpoint management.
• Experience supporting Windows, iOS, Macs, and common office software.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line on-site IT support for end users and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Windows and iOS operating systems and applications.
• Handle hardware replacements and device configuration for laptops, desktops, and office peripherals.
• Support and administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra, Teams, and Exchange.
• Manage conference room A/V systems and VPN access.
• Update IT tickets via the ITSM tool in line with SLAs.
• Assist with IT asset management and lifecycle documentation.
• Support server room maintenance and equipment management at the Munich office.
• Communicate clearly with non-technical staff and document procedures.

AVATR Global Design Center is looking for a skilled and customer-oriented, and security-conscious 1st/2nd Line Senior IT Specialist to join our growing team in Munich. This role combines front desk responsibilities with hands‑on on‑site support for general office and design systems, modern office infrastructure, ensuring smooth daily IT operations and high‑quality user support within our office. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience in IT support, a service‑oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently.

What you will do:

• Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to on‑site end users, including issue diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution for hardware, software, and network‑related problems.
• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain operating systems and application software. iOS, Windows.
• Handle hardware failures, replacements, installations, and configuration loading for laptops, desktops, peripherals, and other office IT equipment.
• Support and administer Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Teams, and Exchange.
• Administer and support conference room A/V systems and VPN access.
• Ensure timely updates and resolution of IT tickets using the internal ITSM tool, in line with defined SLAs.
• Support IT asset management, including tracking, inventory maintenance, and lifecycle documentation.
• Assist with server room maintenance and equipment management at the German office.
• Provide professional, user‑friendly communication and guidance to non‑technical staff regarding IT requests and issues.
• Update the knowledge base, technical documentation, and support procedures.

What you will bring:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in an office-based IT support role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Entra, Active Directory, MS Exchange, Endpoint management system, Collaboration tools and File sharing systems.
• Experience supporting Windows OS, iOS and commonly used office software. Macs, iPhones, good to have experience supporting interactive screens and tablets.
• Experience supporting video conferencing and A/V systems. Wi‑Fi AP.
• Familiarity with ITSM platforms and service desk workflows.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong root cause analysis capability.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Customer‑first mindset with a professional, friendly, and solution‑oriented approach.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Nice to have:
  • Experience in administering network equipment and systems (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet).
  • Endpoint management/MDM (Baramundi), MS Purview, MS Defender.
  • Familiarity with deployment and support of AutoCAD, Adobe CC, and similar systems.
  • Support of Lark/Feishu, various file sharing, CAD, Adobe systems.
  • Familiarity with IT process improvement, documentation, and best practices.
  • Chinese language skills.
