Job summary

Camino Search is partnering with a fast-growing, private equity-backed technology business to hire a Senior Group Accountant. The role reports to the CFO and owns group accounting across multiple entities in Germany, driving timely reporting under HGB and IFRS.

You will lead month-end, apply internal controls, oversee consolidation, intercompany reconciliations, and collaborate with Controlling and project teams. Fluent in German and English; hybrid work with 1–2 days in Stuttgart.

Qualifications

• Experience leading group accounting and consolidation across multiple entities.
• Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS reporting.
• Proven ability to improve internal controls and data quality.
• Experience with intercompany reconciliations and consolidations.
• Fluent in German and English.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Group accounting and consolidation across multiple entities in Germany.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing and financial reporting under HGB and IFRS.
• Strengthen internal controls and automate recurring finance processes.
• Manage day-to-day accounting including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, provisions and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Controlling and project teams on costs, capitalization and contracts.
• Oversee the consolidation process, intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
• Work across multiple entities for investor-backed or multinational company.
• Fluent German and English.

This is a key hire within the finance function, reporting directly to the CFO. It's an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of Group accounting while playing a central role as the business scales. The company is going through an exciting period of growth, with further expansion and acquisitions planned, creating significant scope for the role to develop alongside it.

What you'll be doing

• Take ownership of Group accounting and consolidation across multiple entities in Germany


• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting under HGB and IFRS


• Work closely with the CFO to strengthen internal controls, improve data quality and automate recurring finance processes


• Take responsibility for day-to-day accounting including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, provisions and reconciliations


• Work closely with Controlling and project teams on areas including project costs, capitalisation and accounting for material contracts


• Manage the consolidation process, including intercompany reconciliations, eliminations and the integration of new entities


• Experience working across multiple entities for an investor-backed or multinational company


• Fluent German and English


• Salary of €85,000 – €100,000


• Hybrid working, with 1–2 days per week in the Stuttgart office
