Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking a senior data center network engineer to own the north-south fabric connecting the AI cloud to the world. You will drive automation that turns EVPN/VXLAN design into policy and manage IP transit, DCI, and multi-site interconnects across four US data centers.

You will work with Arista and Cisco gear, implement runbook-as-code, and apply network intent through Ansible and NetBox-based tooling to ensure QoS, security, and scalable, reliable services.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in data center network engineering with EVPN-VxLAN deployment experience.
• Strong BGP expertise (eBGP/iBGP, route policies, communities).
• Designing and operating multi-site DCI with EVPN multi-homing.
• Proficiency with Arista EOS and/or Cisco NX-OS in spine-leaf environments.
• Experience with firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet) for perimeter security.
• Familiarity with network automation tools (Ansible, Python/Netmiko, Nautobot/NetBox).
• AIOps aptitude or clear thesis on policy-driven network automation.
• Runbook-as-code mindset; configs and changes are executable by automation.

• Drive automation that turns EVPN/BGP operations from tickets into policy
• Own the IP/Ethernet infrastructure connecting the AI cloud fleet, including DCI, WAN, internet edge, and tenant-facing networks
• Build automation allowing the AIOps substrate to express network intent as code
• Operate EVPN-VxLAN data center fabrics for multi-tenant network isolation and workload mobility
• Connect four US data centers with multi-site DCI overlays/underlays and consistent L2/L3 services
• Manage BGP, OSPF, ECMP load balancing, and VxLAN across spine-leaf architectures
• Manage IP transit, peering relationships, and internet edge infrastructure
• Operate the WAN/IP backbone connecting US data centers to APAC and Iceland sites
• Manage Arista, Cisco, and Palo Alto switches, routers, and firewalls
• Implement network automation with Ansible, Terraform, and Nautobot/NetBox for IPAM/DCIM
• Monitor network health, capacity, and SLAs across all sites
• Maintain network architecture documentation, standard configurations, and change procedures
• Represent route policies, ACLs, VRFs, and peering sessions as code in the configuration-management substrate
• Feed BGP flap and DCI degradation data into the network-stability predictor
• Turn routine changes into workflows executable by the remediation actuator under maintenance windows

Requirements

• 5+ years in data center network engineering, with hands-on EVPN-VxLAN deployment experience
• Strong BGP expertise (eBGP/iBGP, route policies, communities, traffic engineering)
• Experience designing and operating multi-site DCI with EVPN multi-homing
• Proficiency with Arista EOS and/or Cisco NX-OS in spine-leaf data center environments
• Experience with firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet) for perimeter and inter-tenant security
• Hands-on experience with IP transit provisioning and internet peering
• Familiarity with network automation tools (Ansible, Python/Netmiko, Nautobot/NetBox)
• Strong understanding of QoS, traffic engineering, and capacity planning for DC networks
• AIOps aptitude — you've either driven a network-automation program from ticket-driven ops to intent-driven policy, or you have a clear thesis on how you would
