Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to operate and evolve our enterprise networks across multiple locations in Germany. You will design and implement routing, switching, firewalling, and network segmentation, with a focus on hybrid connectivity and security.

You will work with cloud and on-premise resources, contribute to IaC, and lead network migration projects. The role requires strong German and good English skills, plus hands-on experience with VPNs, Azure/AWS connectivity,

Qualifikationen

• Several years of experience operating and developing enterprise networks.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalling, and network segmentation (VLANs, VRFs, ACLs).
• Experience with VPN technologies: site-to-site, client VPN, IPSec, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of hybrid connectivity: Azure ExpressRoute and/or AWS Direct Connect, Azure Arc.
• Foundational knowledge of cloud networking: Azure VNets, subnets, NSGs, peering, and/or AWS VPCs and security groups.
• Experience with network hardware from leading vendors, including switches, routers, and firewalls (e.g., Check Point, Cisco).
• Open to Network as Code and willing to manage network configurations as code in the future (Ansible, Terraform).
• Scripting skills in PowerShell or Python for network task automation.
• Ability to view on-premises and cloud networks as one integrated system.
• Analytical troubleshooting skills.
• Structured approach to documentation.
• Experience collaborating with onsite administrators, cloud engineers, and security teams.
• Self-directed working style.
• Project experience in site connectivity, network migrations, and segmentation projects.
• Technical ownership of architecture, technology decisions, and quality.
• Very good German and good English skills.

Aufgaben

• Monitor the network and perform proactive troubleshooting.
• Provide technical support for new site deployments, including network planning, implementation, and documentation.
• Own network connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.
• Coordinate with the Cloud & Platform team on responsibilities for network resources.
• Provide 3rd-level support for complex network incidents.
• Lead technical projects involving migrations, site connectivity, and segmentation.

• Implement network security requirements, including least privilege and Zero Trust Networking
• Conduct regular reviews of firewall rules and access concepts
• Support security audits and compliance requirements
• Serve as the primary technical contact for the IT Project Manager
• Coordinate technical resources and ensure smooth handovers to operations
