Job summary

Fressnapf Tiernahrungs GmbH in Krefeld sucht eine erfahrene Führungskraft im Category Management, um die strategische Rolle der Kategorie zu definieren und eine klare, mehrjährige Roadmap zu entwickeln. Sie arbeiten eng mit Beschaffung, Marken- und Lieferketten-Teams sowie Länderorganisationen zusammen und sorgen für eine konsistente Sortimentslogik.

Sie treiben Verbesserungen durch Analytik, gestalten grenzüberschreitende Implementierungen und schaffen Lösungen, die die Produktivität steigern

Qualifications

• Sie besitzen einen Hochschulabschluss in Betriebswirtschaft oder vergleichbar.
• Sie bringen umfangreiche Erfahrung im Category Management oder kommerzieller Strategie über mehrere Länder hinweg mit.
• Sie kombinieren analytische Stärke mit der Fähigkeit, Insights in skalierbare Modelle zu übersetzen.
• Sie haben Erfahrung in bereichsübergreifender Abstimmung und Implementierung.
• Sie kommunizieren fließend Englisch; weitere europäische Sprachen sind von Vorteil.

Responsibilities

• Sie definieren die strategische Rolle und langfristige Ambitionen der Kategorie mit einer mehrjährigen Roadmap.
• Sie gestalten Architektur der Kategorie, gewährleisten konsistente Sortimentslogik, Preisstruktur und Navigation über Kanäle.
• Sie entwickeln skalierbare Kategorie-Baupläne und Standards für Rollouts in mehreren Ländern.
• Sie unterstützen Märkte durch strukturierte Frameworks, Guidance und Umsetzungshilfe.
• Sie analysieren kommerzielle Kennzahlen und leiten daraus konkrete Verbesserungen ab.
• Sie arbeiten eng mit Beschaffung, Marke, Customer, Supply Chain und Länderteams zusammen.
• Sie stärken die Kategorienleistung durch Balance des Produktmix und SKU-Produktivität.
• Sie testen neue Ansätze, bewerten Auswirkungen und skalieren bewährte Konzepte.

• You will define the strategic role and long-term ambition of your category, supported by a clear multi-year roadmap.
• By shaping the overall category architecture, you ensure a consistent assortment logic, price structure, and navigation across channels.
• In this role, you create scalable category blueprints and execution standards that enable efficient rollout across multiple countries.
• You help markets succeed by providing structured frameworks, guidance, and implementation support that drive adoption and consistency.
• Through regular reviews of key commercial indicators, you assess performance and translate insights into actionable improvements.
• You act as a senior category expert, working closely with Procurement, (Exclusive) Brand, Customer, Supply Chain, and country teams to secure strong cross-functional alignment.
• You strengthen category performance by ensuring a balanced product mix, improving SKU productivity, and creating opportunities for cross-sell and trade-up.
• You drive continuous improvement by testing new approaches, evaluating impact, and scaling proven concepts quickly and effectively.

• You hold a university degree in Business Economics or a related discipline.
• With extensive experience in category management, category development, or commercial strategy across multi-country retail environments, you bring deep functional expertise.
• You combine strong analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to turn insights into scalable commercial models and actionable category frameworks.
• Having worked across markets before, you know how to drive structured implementation, build alignment, and secure adoption
• You excel in stakeholder management and can influence cross‑functional partners at different levels of the organization.
• You communicate fluently in English; additional European languages are a plus.
